Monmouth University & Blue Hawk Records Present Blue Hawk Records Boardwalk Jam at Light Of Day

Monmouth University’s Blue Hawk Records will be hosting a Light of Day concert on January 15th at Berkeley Oceanport Hotel at 7 p.m. The Blue Hawk artists performing include Samantha Jordan, Amani Lillian, Abby Garcia, Elijah Elias, The Peach Trees, Samantha Spano, Corine Rose, and the Blue Hawk House Band.
Light of Day is an annual event that raises money for Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses like ALS, in an attempt to bring awareness and fight for a cure. The foundation originated in Asbury Park and has had performers including the legendary Bruce Springsteen, John Rzeznik from the Goo Goo Dolls along with many notable regional and international artists. Since 2000, the foundation has raised over $5.75 million.
Monmouth University’s Blue Hawk Music Group has been involved since 2014, performing with E-Street Band members and Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees such as Vini "Maddog" Lopez, Ricky Bryd (Joan Jett and the Blackhearts) and other acclaimed artists. The Monmouth/Blue Hawk Records show has become a go-to kick-off night event at Light Of Day drawing both local and international attendees.
The event is sponsored by the Leon Hess Business School, the Wayne D. McMurray School of Humanities & Social Sciences, AND the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth.
